Linebacker Davon Durant on Friday attended a university hearing trying to save his future at Arizona State, both in the classroom and on the football field.
The hearing did not produce an immediate decision. The University Hearing Board has up to three days to issue a recommendation to an ASU dean of students. A final determination on Durant's fate could take up to 20 days.
Durant was arrested in March after Tempe police say he got into a physical fight with his girlfriend. Facing allegations of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct, Durant on Thursday pleaded guilty in Maricopa County Superior Court to a single count of disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.
