TEMPE, Ariz. -- Despite lots of penalties, goalie entertainment, and more scoring than any other game this season, the Sun Devils (5-2-0) walked away from the high-scoring affair with their third-straight win, 6-3, over Nebraska-Omaha (0-4-1) Friday night.
ASU reaches their fifth win sooner than any other year in program history, as the Sun Devils didn't reach that feat until January in 2017-18 and December in 2016-17.
"They stuck together," said head coach Greg Powers. "I thought the second period by far was the worst, but Joey kept us in it by standing on his head and he made three unbelievable saves in that period and helped our guys on the bench.
