Earlier this week, when asked to size up receiver Devin Lucien, Arizona State quarterback Mike Bercovici didn’t hesitate, calling Lucien “the most competitive person I’ve been around.”
Keep in mind – Bercovici’s relationship with Lucien stretches back to their days as friends and rivals at neighboring high schools in Southern California. The two know each other.
So, it was little surprise that Lucien, who transferred to ASU before this season after spending the previous four years at UCLA, seconded his teammate’s assessment.
“I’m probably the most competitive person – like, hard on myself,” Lucien said. “It’s ridiculous.
