Tempe city councilman David Schapira has filed a $100,000 claim against Arizona State for injuries sustained at a game he attended when the mascot, ‘Sparky,’ jumped on his back, according to a report from FOX 10 Phoenix.
Schapira was posing for a photo when Sparky unexpectedly climbed onto the councilman’s back.
At the time, Shapira was recovering from back surgery and the incident aggravated his condition.
