Chinese native Peter Zhong making ASU hockey debut on team’s trip to China Jeff Metcalfe, azcentral sports
Of all the crazy things that have happened for Arizona State hockey lately, this might be the craziest.
The Sun Devils are playing four games in Beijing in early August at a rink 10 minutes from where ASU forward Peter Zhong is from. And since Zhong redshirted as a freshman, he will be making his college debut playing before family and friends that otherwise would be limited to watching him on a video stream.
"It's crazy how it all worked out," ASU coach Greg Powers said.
