Cheatham says goodbye, Dort's future unknown after ASU's NCAA tournament loss to Buffalo

TULSA, Okla. — Zylan Cheatham was called for a fifth personal foul with 2:06 left and Buffalo comfortably on top of Arizona State in first round NCAA tournament play at BOK Center Friday afternoon. He hugged Taeshon Cherry, then Rob Edwards, before making his way to the sideline where he embraced coach Bobby Hurley, with whom he has a tight bond.

It was tough way for the 6-foot-8 senior forward to go out as the No. 11 seed Sun Devils were overwhelmed by No. 6 seed Buffalo 91-74, ending their postseason run.

Cheatham, a Phoenix native, came back home after starting his career at San Diego State because he wanted to help lead the program back to respectability.
