It was not a particularly big draw, but Arizona State’s upset of UCLA scored a big increase on FOX.
Saturday’s Arizona State/UCLA college football game drew a 1.4 final rating and 2.2 million viewers on FOX, up 75% in ratings and 66% in viewership from Baylor/Iowa State last year (0.8, 1.3M) and up 27% and 19%, respectively, from Arizona/Washington in 2013 (1.1, 1.8M).
Keep in mind last year’s game was likely the lowest rated primetime college football telecast ever on broadcast TV.
The Sun Devils’ win was the second of three primetime windows on FOX this season to have an increase in ratings and viewership, joining Utah/Oregon the previous week.
