Skattebo is the first Sun Devil to be selected as a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award, which is given annually to the top offensive player in college football. He is just the second Sun Devil to be named a semifinalist for the Doak Walker Award, which recognizes the nation's top running back. He is the first Doak Walker Award semifinalist since Eno Benjamin in 2018.
