The Arizona State men's golf team put together a solid three rounds without two regulars in its lineup and tied for second at the 2020 Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic at the San Diego Country Club (par 72/7,033 yards) in the 19-team field.
Sophomore Cameron Sisk, the 2018-19 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, finished second at 6-under 210 (71-67-72) as San Francisco's Tim Widing won the event with an 8-under 208 (70-69-69). Sisk led the tournament in par-4 scoring at 8-under and his 16 birdies was tied for second-best.
The Sun Devils were coming off winning the title at the Cabo Collegiate March 1-3 as it played without All-American Chun An Yu, who played in the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and played without Yu and senior Blake Wagoner in this tournament, as Wagner is competing in a professional event.
