PASADENA, Calif. – Mike Bercovici insisted he was OK.
He woke up Saturday in Southern California after all, not far from where he grew up and just 15 miles from the site of one of the memorable passes in recent Arizona State history.
His pass.
Teammates had been in his ear all week, telling him to ignore the critics, reminding him that they still had faith.
So he arrived at the Rose Bowl, switched his pregame music to Drake and helped the Sun Devils stun the No. 7 Bruins and change the narrative of ASU’s season.
