PHOENIX - Sun Devil Baseball has returned to the national rankings in a loud way, earning national rankings for the first time in the WIllie Bloomquist era.
ASU was ranked No. 22 in the nation by Baseball America, marking its first recognition by the outlet since the 2019 season. The Sun Devils also earned a spot as No. 24 by D1 Baseball, a team-high No. 16 by Collegiate Baseball News and No. 23 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
Sun Devil Baseball has won its first four series in Pac-12 play for the first time since the 2009 season - including a 6-0 league play mark at home - after sweeping the Washington State Cougars April 6-8 at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
