Arizona State senior forward Zylan Cheatham hates losing. So after the Sun Devils were upset by Princeton on Saturday afternoon, he went to grab dinner with a friend. But by the end of the night, the last thing the Phoenix native was thinking about was basketball.
Cheatham pulled into the driveway but hadn't even gotten out of the car yet when his cell phone rang. It was his father who told him younger brother Wanyaa Stewart had been shot and was in a nearby hospital in critical condition.
"I didn't even go in the house. I just turned the car around," he said.
