Throughout this season, as Arizona State's defense has struggled, fan criticism mostly has focused on one target: defensive coordinator Keith Patterson.
Coach Todd Graham's reaction:
"None," he said Thursday. "... I'm responsible for 100 percent of what goes on in our program. We evaluate programs at the end of the season. I'm excited about going to play Washington. I'm excited about playing the Territorial Cup, and I'm excited about getting this team to a bowl game. We'll evaluate things at the end of the year."
Entering the season, Pac-12 media picked ASU to finish fifth in the South division, framing Graham's fifth season as a rebuilding year.
