On Dec. 8, 2017, Herm Edwards stood on the NFL Live set in Bristol, Conn., hands clasped in front of him. After getting fired from the Kansas City Chiefs, he had spent the past nine years at ESPN, working as an NFL studio analyst.
Although Arizona State already had introduced him as its next football coach, this was Edwards’ last day at the place he calls the “World Wide Leader.
