SUGAR GROVE, Illinois – The No. 23 Arizona State men's golf team sits positioned in 21st place after two rounds of play at the 2017 NCAA Championships, held at the par-72, 7,300-yard Rich Harvest Farms.
Collecting a cumulative five-over, 293 the Sun Devils remain in contention to advance in Sunday's looming 15-team cut.
"We have fought hard and battled, but just have not played great these first two days," said head coach Matt Thurmond. "We have had a lot of big misses on key shots. Our competitiveness has kept us in range of doing something and we hope that tomorrow we can play like we are capable.
