TEMPE, Ariz.—Arizona State wrestling’s All-American Blake Stauffer has been invited to compete at the NWCA All-Star Classic on Sunday, Nov. 1 at Georgia Tech’s McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta, the National Wrestling Coaches Association announced.
Stauffer, who placed fourth at 184 pounds at the 2015 NCAA Wrestling Championships in March in St. Louis, Mo., will take on Lehigh’s Nate Brown, the 2015 NCAA Runner-Up in their weight class.
This will mark the first-ever bout between the All-Americans, which will air on ESPNU from 5-7 p.m. ET.
The last time a Sun Devil competed at the NWCA All-Star Classic was in 2010 with eventual NCAA Champions Anthony Robles (125 pounds) and Bubba Jenkins (157 pounds) competing.
