TEMPE, Ariz.—The Arizona State wrestling team wrapped the annual Maroon & Gold Intersquad with 10 bouts and a freestyle exhibition on Friday night at the Riches Wrestling Complex.
Starting off the night was the 197-pound rematch between redshirt senior Josh DaSilveira and junior Wes Moore. After falling by pin in the morning session, DaSilveira picked up a 3-1 decision over Moore to even the score at one bout apiece. In the tiebreaker bout, DaSilveira took a 4-0 lead before Moore withdrew due to injury.
At 149 pounds, senior Matt Kraus picked up a 5-0 shutout decision win over freshman Nikko Villarreal, while freshman Zach Smith defeated redshirt freshman Anthony Anderson in a close, 7-5 decision at 174 pounds.
