ASU women’s soccer returned from their season opening road trip having won the first game 2-1 against Boston University, and tieing the next game 1-1 against Boston College.
According to Head Coach Kevin Boyd, the Sun Devils went into their weekend road trip with “4 or 5 players sick” and yet still managed to go undefeated whilst only conceding two goals.
One of the sick players was junior defender Madison Stark who even though was still under the weather still played. Boyd noted that due to her condition she wasn’t at her usual best
“She slept, and hydrated, and did the things she needed to do to get through games but we didn’t quite get the vocal and impactful presence she can have,” Boyd said.
