UA (18-4, 15-4) rallied to force overtime on two Aari McDonald free throws with 5.3 seconds remaining.
Up 65-64 in overtime, Jaddan Simmons made one of two free throws for ASU with 13.3 seconds left. On UA's final possession, Cate Reese missed a 3-pointer.
Hanson led ASU with 19 points, Simmons added 15 and freshman Maggie Besselink pulled a season high 13 rebounds.
