On Thursday afternoon, the Arizona State Women’s basketball team announced its 12-game non-conference schedule for this upcoming season.
The Sun Devils’ 2021-22 campaign will begin on Nov. 9 against Northern Colorado and conclude at home on Dec. 21 against UC Irvine.
ASU is no stranger to playing tough teams to gear up for Pac-12 competition. This year’s slate tallies six teams that participated in postseason play (NCAA Tournament or WNIT) and is highlighted by a meeting with national powerhouse Baylor (Nov. 26) in Mexico during the Cancun Challenge.
Another team the Sun Devils will face in Cancun will be the Houston Cougars, who edged Arizona State 50-48 in the final consolation game of the WNIT in 2020-21.
