Charli Turner Thorne joked earlier this season, when she won her 450th game with Arizona State women's basketball, that all of her milestone victories are ugly.
She had another of those Friday — her 500th career win in 26 seasons including three at Northern Arizona — although what it lacked aesthetically was overshadowed by the drama of the first triple overtime game in school history. ASU won in double overtime as recently as last season.
Reili Richardson's three-pointer with three seconds remaining lifted No. 19 ASU past USC, 76-75, before 7,111 on hand for a Sparky's Kids to College matinee at Desert Financial Arena.
