TEMPE– Sun Devil Softball returned to action with its second contest in the fall ball season against South Mountain Community College on Friday at Farrington Stadium.
In their first game against opposition, Arizona State defeated the local team in eight innings 10-0.
It was a productive night for the pitching staff of Marissa Schuld, Mac Osborne, Deborah Jones and Kenzie Jones as they had 12 strikeouts and had a collective no-hitter.
"You can see how it took them a little bit of time to settle in, but really the pitchers continued to settle in and play clean defense, that was probably the biggest focus for tonight," head coach Megan Bartlett said.
