The Arizona State Sun Devils (0-6 Pac-12, 10-8 overall) could not manage to knock off No. 15 USC (5-1 Pac-12, 13-4 overall), losing in four sets 19-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-22 Saturday night in Tempe.
The first set moved along at a slow pace. Both teams challenged calls on the court by the refs early on.
The Sun Devils edged out to a 17-15 lead after getting a in/out call overturned.
From that point on it was an 8-4 run in favor of the Sun Devils, capped off by a huge block from sophomore outside hitter Ivana Jeremic.
