Arizona State won its first set in their last four matches against No. 10 Washington, but fell in four sets (20-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-22) on Friday night.
The Sun Devils (10-8, 2-5 Pac-12) came out strong, as they took the first set from Washington (14-3, 5-2). However, the early lead was lost in the second set and the Huskies didn’t look back.
The Sun Devil defensive back line showed promise in the match, with three different players reaching double-digit digs. Seniors Courtney Leffel and Ivana Jeremic finished with 26 and 14, respectively. Leffel had her eighth match of the season with 20 or more digs, finishing with a match-high 26.
