ASU Track & Field’s Houlihan Nominated for 2015 NCAA Woman Of The Year

INDIANAPOLIS—Arizona State track and field’s 12-time All-American Shelby Houlihan was nominated for the 2015 NCAA Woman of the Year Award, the NCAA announced on Friday.

In its 25th year, the Woman of the Year award honors graduating female college athletes who have exhausted their eligibility and distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers in academics, athletics, service and leadership. This year, 480 student-athletes have been nominated from across Division I, II, and III.

“It’s obviously a great honor for Shelby to be nominated for this award,” distance coach Louie Quintana said. “She’s exhibited four years of tremendous accomplishments both in the classroom, on the track, and on the course in cross country.
