TEMPE, Ariz.—The Arizona State men’s and women’s track and field teams, along with 12 individuals, earned academic recognition from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, the USTFCCCA announced on Friday.
The women’s team was recognized with their combined 3.24 GPA, while the men’s team was recognized with their combined GPA of 3.09. The women’s team has earned academic recognition in nine of the last 10 years.
To earn the distinction, the team must earn a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher.
Individually 12 Sun Devils were recognized for their academic efforts: Kiera Bulluck (Biological Sciences), Shaina Corbin (Sports Business), Melese Crozier (Biochemistry), Haleigh Fritts (Finance), Alex Hartig (Master’s in Accountancy), Shelby Houlihan (Interdisciplinary Studies), Ginger Jarchow (Sociology), Keyasia Tibbs (Art), Chelsey Totten (Healthy Life Sciences), Ashley Weber (Psychology), CJ Albertson (Exercise and Wellness), and Jamol James (Interdisciplinary Studies).
