On Friday, the tenth-ranked Sun Devil men lost 158-133 against the top-ranked Cal team, while the women lost 172-118 to the fifth-ranked women’s team.
The dive team stepped up greatly for the Devils yesterday, taking first in three events.
Freshman diver Ashley McCool performed well in both her dives, scoring first in the 3-meter (career-high 359.48) and second in the 1-meter.
Sophomore Youssef Selim led the men’s team with top scores in both events.
The scores from yesterday’s top performers give ASU an edge over Stanford, based on Stanford’s scores from their meet against Arizona yesterday.
