ASU starts Pac-12's second half with issues to resolve

SEATTLE – Five weeks ago, Arizona State entered Pac-12 competition at 10-3 with enough impressive wins to put it in early NCAA Tournament projections. Its Ratings Percentage Index – a metric the tournament committee uses to help select the field – was among the best in the conference.

Wednesday, as ASU starts the second half of the conference schedule at Washington, the Sun Devils (12-10, 2-7 Pac-12) are fighting to stay above .500. At this point, it would take a remarkable reversal to vault them back into the tournament conversation, and considering they haven’t won two in a row since late December, it won’t be easy.
