ASU spring exit interview: QB coach Chip Lindsey

Over the next few weeks, I’ll talk to Arizona State position coaches about what they learned from spring practice.

Today: Quarterbacks.

Coach: Chip Lindsey, first season. Lindsey last December replaced former offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Mike Norvell, who left to become head coach at Memphis. Lindsey got a head start working with the Sun Devils through their bowl practices.

State of the position: According to ASU media relations, the Sun Devils are the only FBS team without a quarterback who has thrown a D-I pass. (In spot duty last season, sophomore Manny Wilkins actually completed a short pass to running back De’Chavon Hayes, but it was wiped out because of a penalty.
