Over the next few weeks, I’ll talk to Arizona State position coaches about what they learned in spring practice.
Today: Defensive backs.
Coach: T.J. Rushing. A former Super Bowl champion with the Indianapolis Colts, Rushing joined coach Todd Graham’s staff in January, replacing the departed Chris Ball. Rushing spent last season as a defensive assistant at Stanford, his alma mater. In 2014 he coached cornerbacks at Northern Arizona. From 2012-13, Rushing worked under Graham as a graduate assistant and in a support role.
State of the position: Under construction.
