It was a pitcher’s duel to the end, but the Sun Devils found a way to sneak past the Wildcats.
Despite having only two hits in the entire game, the ASU softball team won its 35th game of the season Friday by a score of 2-1. The win was clinched in the seventh inning when Danielle Gibson hit a walk-off double to left center field, driving in Morgan Howe.
“(I’m) grateful that I had the opportunity,” Gibson said. “(Howe) did her part, so I had to do mine. It was a good team win on our part.
