Arizona State will head back to Oklahoma City for the Women’s College World Series for the first time since 2013, after an all around team win over South Carolina on Saturday night’ in Tempe.
ASU allowed the Gamecocks to tie the game in the fourth inning, but the Sun Devils bounced back the next frame, stuck to their plan and came back with a four-run inning. Arizona State (45-11) used that big fifth inning to ride to a 5-2 victory over South Carolina (49-17) and take their spot in the final eight for Oklahoma City.
