Someone finally scored an earned run off Arizona State softball pitcher Giselle Juarez, which right now amounts to a monumental achievement.
Juarez, national Pitcher of the Week, followed up her no-hitter Friday with a one-hitter in a 9-1, five-inning victory over North Dakota State on Saturday.
The sophomore left-hander faced the minimum number of batters over the first four innings, striking out eight and extending her streak without an earned run to 79 innings.
Then Vanessa Anderson, leading off the fifth, went opposite field for a home run on a 1-2 pitch, proving Juarez still can be scored upon.
