Arizona State softball will make its 15th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance as a No. 2 seed in the Alabama regional.
The 64-team field was announced Sunday and includes five Pac-12 teams. No. 2 national seed Washington, No. 3 UCLA and No. 6 Arizona are hosting regionals with a chance to remain at home for a super regional, May 23-26.
ASU (31-18) will open against No. 3 seed Lipscomb (41-13-1) at 1 p.m. Friday. No. 8 national seed Alabama (52-7) opens against Alabama State (24-23) in the double-elimination regional.
