TEMPE – The No. 20 Arizona State University softball team fell behind early in the first game of its three-games series against No. 12 Washington, ultimately falling 7-2 on Friday night.
After nearly a two hour field maintenance delay, the Sun Devils and Huskies finally got things underway. Jenn Soria put ASU on the board with her team leading 11th homer, and her fifth in four games.
ASU (27-11) fell behind after UW (24-8) scored three runs in the first inning. The Sun Devils got two back in the bottom of the first to trim the deficit to one run, before Husky pitcher Taran Alvelo took control of the game.
