For Arizona State football, the best surprise was no surprise on National Signing Day.
All 10 committed players signed Wednesday, joining with eight December signees for a recruiting class of 18 that is ranked in the top 25-30 nationally and fourth or fifth in the Pac-12 by various outlets. To keep the class together, despite losing four coaches since the end of the regular season including offensive coordinator Mike Norvell, is something of a miracle given the importance of position coaches in recruiting and how common flipping schools is today.
