Like nearly everyone else, Todd Graham has his favorite Camp Tontozona memories. In 2013, the Arizona State coach took the plunge, jumping off a cliff into Tonto Creek, what was then a camp tradition.
"I didn't look very good doing it,'' Graham said. "We don't need to let anybody see that. It's kind of embarrassing. And if I wasn't heckled, I wouldn't have jumped off there."
OK, so maybe that's not a favorite. But outdoor shenanigans are a part of the Tontozona experience, and that's what makes it memorable.
Throughout Graham's first four ASU years, the Sun Devils left for Tontozona – a mountainous retreat 17 miles northeast of Payson – about a week or so into preseason practice.
