The ASU men's basketball program is entering unfamiliar territory after the Sun Devils were ranked in the AP Top 25 poll for the first time in nearly a decade.
ASU was ranked 20th in the poll released Monday morning, thanks to the Sun Devils' 6-0 start.
The Arizona Wildcats dropped out of the poll after losing three games in the Battle of Atlantis.
The Wildcats were previously ranked second and their precipitous drop made Arizona the first team to drop from No. 2-to-unranked since the 1986-87 Louisville Cardinals.
The Sun Devils were last ranked in the final AP poll in 2009, ending the year at number 19.
