Arizona State men's basketball coach Bobby Hurley hasn't had many games where he has had a full complement of players available. Well, the Sun Devils (4-3, 1-0) will be very shorthanded when they square off against Pac-12 favorite UCLA (6-2, 3-0) at 8:30 Wedneday at Desert Financial Arena.
Among four players unavailable is senior point guard Remy Martin (16.9 ppg) who will be attending a family funeral. Martin, a preseason All-American, scored 45 points in two games against the Bruins last season including a 30-point showing in a loss at Pauley Pavilion.
In addition, junior forward Taeshon Cherry and sophomore Jaelen House are out for no-injury and non-disciplinary reasons, which has become code language for out due to COVID-19 contact tracing protocols.
