Arizona State linebacker Jay Jay Wilson is off indefinite suspension and available to play Saturday against No. 12 Michigan State.
ASU coach Herm Edwards said Monday that Wilson, 6-3, 255 senior, will return but sophomore running back Trelon Smith will miss a second game due to coach's decision.
Wilson has been out since an incident during a closed practice Aug. 15 led to his suspension. He has been expected to be among ASU's defensive leaders and particularly impactful in pass rushing.
"If he practices, he's going to play," Edwards said of Wilson. "If you don't practice, you don't play for me.
