Let’s start with the basics.
Koron Crump is an Arizona State junior linebacker by way of Fort Scott Community College in Kansas. He stands 6-foot-3, 218 pounds, and when he lined up over the summer to race cornerback De’Chavon Hayes – considered one of ASU’s fastest players – he beat him.
“By about a yard,” Crump said.
That’s impressive. Especially for a player his size.
Crump is one of a few junior-college transfers expected to make an immediate impact, and possibly start, in coach Todd Graham’s fifth season. Joining him: safety J’Marcus Rhodes, center A.
