CORVALLIS, Ore. – Rarely over the past three years has Arizona State enjoyed a conference Saturday such as this. A day in which the Sun Devils built an early lead, removing much doubt before halftime.
The big news: After consecutive losing seasons, ASU is bowl eligible. On a foggy afternoon at Reser Stadium, the Sun Devils jumped on struggling Oregon State and held on 40-24, their first win here since 2005.
The effort guaranteed ASU (6-5 and 5-3 in the Pac-12) a wining conference record, something Vice President of Athletics Ray Anderson might consider when determining the fate of coach Todd Graham.
