Arizona State's Olivia Mehaffey won the Pac-12 women's golf individual title Wednesday in a playoff with Stanford's Albane Valenzuela.
Both finished with a three-round total of 209, four-under-par, at Palos Verdes Golf Club (Calif.). Mehaffey earned medalist with a par on the first playoff hole. She made up four strokes on Valenzuela in the third round to force the playoff.
Mehaffey is a junior from Ireland who contributed to ASU winning the national championship in 2017. She is ASU's 13th individual Pac-12 champion and the first since Linnea Strom in 2016.
USC won the team title by 11 strokes over Arizona with ASU in third, five strokes behind UA and one ahead of fourth place Stanford.
