The surging Arizona State Sun Devils (7-0), who jumped to 16th in the country thanks to last week’s victory over USF, go head to head with against a top team from the Big East conference, the St John’s Red Storm (7-1) on Friday at 6:00 p.m. at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The Red Storm come off a 68-60 victory over Grand Canyon University at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Tuesday to kick start their West coast road trip. Shamorie Ponds, the Johnnies leading scorer who had a game-high 28 points, has put up at least 21 points in six of the team’s last eight games.
