In a year that boasts with talent, two Arizona State players have shown that they are deserving.
Junior goaltender Joey Daccord and sophomore forward Johnny Walker are the first in program history to be nominated for the prestigious award.
“It’s a huge honor to be noticed for such an award,” Walker said. “It’s definitely not anything I did by myself.”
Walker has been a nightmare for opposing defenses, leading the nation in goals scored with 19 in his 26 games on the ice this year.
