The Sun Devils (3-9-3) came off a long bye week and it didn’t help them. Princeton installed its fast-paced offense right away and the Tigers’ veterans found success.
“Bye weeks are tough,” ASU head coach Greg Powers said. “It’s not something that we want to do but you’re allotted 34 games and sometimes it’s a necessary evil in college hockey. Guys have to figure out a way to ramp up and be ready to play, and tonight, it just took us a while to get going.”
ASU struggled with turnovers early on and couldn’t find a way through on its breakout.
