No. 11 Arizona State (22-10-3) was on the wrong side of a barn burner at Wisconsin on Friday night, as the Sun Devils fell to the Badgers by a final of 7-6 in Madison.
With a lot of speed and skill on the ice, both teams were thrust into a wide open affair that was full of back and forth action.
The first period alone combined for four goals, as ASU struck first on a one-time shot from sophomore defenseman Josh Maniscalco.
After throwing the opening punch, Wisconsin would respond, however. Badger sophomore forward Roman Ahcan lit the lamp twice in less than a minute, and he was far from done with his work on the night.
