Arizona State started the new year with a tough test, going on the road to take on No. 5 ranked St. Cloud State and fell in both games.
Game 1 saw the Sun Devils get on the board first, with captain Garrett Peterson netting one home, his second goal of the season. The Huskies responded to Peterson's goal with six unanswered of their own, including two by their captain Ethan Prow.
Ryland Pashovitz got the nod in net for the Sun Devils and made 35 saves.
The second game didn't fare much better for the Sun Devils, not being able to get on the board and falling 7-0 to the Huskies.
