For the first time all season, No. 17 Arizona State (16-10-1) has three consecutive losses.
The Sun Devils fell at the hands of Boston University (10-9-3) by a final score of 4-2 at Agganis Arena on Friday. ASU scored first in the opening frame, but their goal from senior forward Anthony Croston would be answered with two straight goals from BU, and ASU wouldn’t lead for the rest of the game.
Freshman forward Joel Farabee scored two goals for the Terriers, and BU also received tallies from junior defenseman Chad Krys and junior forward Patrick Curry.
ASU out shot Boston 17-6 in the third period when they were trailing by two goals, but Terrier junior goaltender Jake Oettinger continued to make big saves to keep the Devils at bay.
