Playing arguably its best game in its still short NCAA history, Arizona State hockey dominated No. 9 Quinnipiac 4-1 on Saturday night to complete its first sweep of a top-10 team.
ASU's only win over a higher rated team was at No. 6 Penn State last season.
“I’d be hard pressed to know if we’ve ever played better than that,” ASU coach Greg Powers said of the first two periods, when all the scoring was done at Oceanside Ice Arena. “The way we managed the third period was tremendous.
